So, as always, I've been distracted with another branch of this vast and crazy project and the project mentioned in the previous blog is on hold like everything else-- hey I'm only 1 guy.
But I love texturing! I found this wonderful texturing program called GIMP a while back, and the more I do it the better I get at it and the more I enjoy it. SO...now there's another install on the downloads page for the latest HD skin for the 'Mechs: Blood Red, which replaces Sunfire (I sooo hated sunfire)
Next will be "Desert"...which was one of my favorite skins in 'Mech3 so I hope I do it justice.
These are time consuming, so be patient. One skin at a time...(X 18 'Mechs)
Other texturing projects in the future will be to finish my Tranquil Nuclear winter project...which will include a different variation on the "Snow Camo" theme replacing each 'Mech skin, (as well as re-texturing the worlds into snowfields..but that's mostly done anyway) so that should be time consuming!
On the multiplayer front...New "old players" have been showing up getting their rigs set up for 'Mech3...things should pick up pretty soon on Gameranger.
With MWO doing a single-player game for, what, 2018? 2019?...I thought maybe if I get my butt in gear I can have both my final single-player projects for 'Mech3 and Pirate's Moon (escape from tranquil) done before theirs comes out and that would be cool! I'LL TRY!!
Anyway, until next time..Bring the Paine.
